About me

I’m a writer.  An ethicist.  A sometime sex worker who has no time for brands of feminism that exclude the fact that sex work is work.  I’m intersex, and have plenty to say about intersex genital mutilation and the intersection of medical approaches to intersex and mental distress.  My best job, apart from sex work, was as an usher, a hundred years ago when I was in my teens, at the Empire Cinema in Leicester Square, but I’ve also suffered years in international development and public policy.  Education addict.  My pronouns: she/her/hers (which is easy even for the most narrow-minded, as I have a fetish for lipstick and heels).
